Hello, My Name is Spring-A-Doodle

Donna Gutowski is a 72-year-old woman who, for five years, has been the caretaker for a 93-year-old man named Amiel Mokhiber Sr. Twice a week, she helps Amiel deal with the symptoms of late-stage Alzheimer’s disease, helping him in all areas of his life, from sunrise to sunset. She bathes, clothes, feeds, entertains, and takes care of him while reminding him of who she is every time. In her everyday life, however, she takes on a second identity, to become a caretaker in a far less traditional way.
